Terms of service

The terms that govern the use of Unfair, for you and the organisation you represent.

Last updated 1 November 2026

These terms govern use of Unfair (unfair.app, app.unfair.app), operated by Unfair, Denmark ("Unfair", "we"). By creating a workspace or accepting an invitation you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the organization you represent.

1. The service

Unfair is an AI assistant for sales inboxes: it connects to Gmail accounts that users explicitly connect, triages incoming email into labels, and prepares reply drafts in the user's drafts folder.

Human in the loop: Unfair creates drafts only. It never sends email. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and sending any draft, and for all communications sent from your mailbox.

2. Accounts and workspaces

  • You sign in with a Google account. The first user of a workspace becomes its administrator and can invite and remove members.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep access to your account secure. Seats are per person; credentials must not be shared.
  • You must have the authority to connect any mailbox you connect.

3. Acceptable use

You may not: use Unfair for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive communication (including spam in violation of applicable email-marketing law); attempt to access other tenants' data; reverse-engineer the service except where law permits; resell it without our written agreement; or use it to build a competing dataset or model.

You are responsible for the content of your mailbox and your company profile. Unfair processes them on your instruction as a tool; you remain the sender and author of record for anything you send.

4. AI output

Drafts and classifications are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for the situation. They are suggestions, not advice, and not statements by Unfair. Review before sending is not optional — it is how the product is designed to be used. We do not warrant any business outcome (reply rates, conversions, deals).

5. Trial, plans, and payment

  • Trial: [7] days or [50] AI actions per user, whichever comes first — no card required. One trial per person/mailbox/domain; trial-abuse prevention records survive workspace deletion. When the trial ends, drafting pauses (labeling continues) until a subscription starts.
  • Subscription: per-seat monthly fee, billed via Stripe. The seat count is the number of active members with connected mailboxes; changes are prorated by Stripe's standard mechanics.
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice, effective from the next billing period. No surprise charges: exhausting an allowance pauses AI drafting rather than billing overage.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Your data

  • You retain all rights to your email content, company profile, and style profile. We process them only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • We use Gmail data in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use), and we do not use your data to train generalized AI models.
  • Admins can delete the workspace at any time; deletion is processed per the Privacy Policy's retention terms.
  • We may use anonymized, aggregated usage statistics (never email content) to operate and improve the service.

7. Availability and support

We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" and "as available" — no SLA is offered on this plan. Gmail connectivity depends on Google; if a mailbox connection breaks (e.g. revoked token), we surface it in the app and by email rather than failing silently. Support: support@unfair.app.

8. Intellectual property

The service, its software, playbooks, and branding are ours or our licensors'. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription. Feedback you give us may be used without obligation.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits, revenue, or data; (b) our total aggregate liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for willful misconduct, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be limited by law. You remain fully responsible for emails you send — including drafts you chose to send unedited.

10. Termination

You may cancel at any time (effective end of the billing period). We may suspend or terminate for material breach (with notice and, where practical, a cure period), non-payment, or abuse. On termination we stop processing and handle data per the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

Material changes will be announced to workspace admins by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, with exclusive venue in the courts of Copenhagen, without prejudice to mandatory consumer or local law where applicable.
